Meet Vladislav, our Russian competitor!
Vladislav Shapovalov, the Russian champion, will compete for the first time in this year’s Just Dance World Cups in Paris. SiViOMango, as you may know him, will turn 25 shortly before the Finals. Maybe his birthday will bring him luck in the decisive dance-offs!
His aim? To surprise the public! For his first time at the World Cup, Vladislav wants to make sure that we “look for [him] on the stage” - and he will be hard to miss! Our champion discovered his passion for dancing through Just Dance and he explains that whenever he moves to the beat of one of our crazy songs, he “feels better than ever before, [he] feels freedom.”
Vladislav, whose favourite song of the moment is the “Extreme Version of Scream & Shout”, started Just Dancing in 2014 and is now the champion of his country! Even after just beginning Just Dance, he was able to leave his mark on the tournament: “I took second place in Russia for Just Dance 2014.”
If at first his family and friends didn’t realise how far the competition in the Just Dance world could go, they are now fully aware of his status as Russian champion: “Now everyone knows and feels that it is not only a game for me, and I had to practice a lot to be the first in Russia.”
Though Vladislav plays in solo mode mostly, he always enjoys himself whenever he has the chance to dance with his friends: “When we are able to meet, we have a great time with Just Dance”.
